Using synthetic and analytical research approaches, the center aims at developing a quantitative, dynamic, theoretically modelled functional understanding.
The cooperation of biologists, biochemists, physicists, mathematicians, computational biologists and bioethicists within SYNMIKRO will offer new opportunities to increase our understanding of the molecular principles and the service capacity of microorganisms and to establish new fields of application.

www.synmikro.comUnter Einbeziehung von synthetischen und analytischen Forschungsansätzen sollen die bisher statischen Komponenten- und Funktionsanalysen von mikrobiellen Zellen hin zu einem quantitativen, dynamischen, theoretisch modellierbaren Funktionsverständnis weiter entwickelt werden.
In einer für Deutschland einzigartigen Kooperation von Biologen, Biochemikern, Physikern, Mathematikern, Bioinformatikern und Bioethikern wird SYNMIKRO gänzlich neue Möglichkeiten bieten, unser Verständnis der molekularen Grundlagen und des Nutzungspotentials von Mikroorganismen zu erweitern und neue Einsatzmöglichkeiten eröffnen.
