Eine deutsch-mexikanische Kooperation ist die Forschergruppe „Determinants of Polarized Growth and Development in Filamentous Fungi“, in der mithilfe verschiedener Pilz-Modellorganismen die molekularen Grundlagen der Zellpolarität untersucht und grundlegende Mechanismen des gerichteten Wachstums vielzelliger Organismen identifiziert werden sollen.

The Research Unit “Determinants of Polarized Growth and Development in Filamentous Fungi” is a German-Mexican collaboration, which is using various fungal model organisms to examine the molecular basis of cell polarity and identify the underlying mechanisms of the directional growth of multicellular organisms.
