Der Fachverbund Ländliche Entwicklung Afrika ( Sector Network Rural Development, SNRD ) wurde 1995 in Lesotho gegründet.
Der SNRD ist ein Netzwerk von Praktikerinnen und Praktikern der ländlichen Entwicklung in Afrika und als solches ein zentraler Drehpunkt für Wissensmanagement und Weiterbildung.
Der Fachverbund beschäftigt sich mit allen Aspekten der ländlichen Entwicklung, der nachhaltigen Bewirtschaftung natürlicher Ressourcen und des Klimawandels in Afrika.
