Der Kranke kniet in verkrampfter Haltung zu Füßen des Heiligen; der linke Arm ist wie hilfesuchend nach oben ausgestreckt, der rechte ist bodenwärts gerichtet, so dass andeutungsweise die Figur eines Kreuzes resultiert, Symbol des Leides.

The man? s head is bent in an unnatural way towards his right shoulder, his mouth and eyes are open, his facial expression shows the torment of a person with epilepsy.
