Die Skulpturen Franz Wests, die er in eine Situation stellt, wo sie als Skulpturen unbemerkt bleiben können, erfassen den Übergang vom Objekt zum Accessoire, von der Präsentation des Werks als Objekt der Betrachtung zu seiner Verwertung und Nutzung an einem Ort als integriertes Element.
Diese manchmal unbewusste oder unwissentliche Aktivierung seiner Werke durch Betrachter / innen konstituiert das künstlerische Ereignis der Arbeit Franz Wests.
